From the Artist
I have moved from realism to abstraction gradually over the years to explore space, movement and colour, and to experience the beautiful lyrical result when it all comes together. I’m captivated by colours that interact in ways that evoke joy and surprise. Light, too, plays a crucial role in my work, casting different reflections, shadows and feelings.
Water, land, sound, change, connections and the seasons always delight me. I am inspired by the simple yet profound beauty of the natural world and aim to capture the essence of what I see in the everyday, attempting to transform what might look ordinary at first glance into a fuller appreciation.
Composition is my main goal in playing with shape and colour. The interplay of light has the power to alter our moods and allows me to revisit the same subjects repeatedly and possibly discover something new each time.
Over the years, I have developed my craft across various mediums, including watercolour, acrylic, and oil. Each piece is a testament to the endless possibilities of abstract art.
I hope my paintings encourage you to see the world through a different lens, to find wonder in the unexpected, and to feel the uplifting power of art in everyday life.
